Pauline M. Kretschmar 82, of Swanzey, NH died at the Keene Center- Genesis Eldercare and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, October 2, 2016 after a sudden illness.

She was born in Keene, NH on May 28, 1934 the daughter of Oscar and Hattie (Ellis) Kretschmar.

Pauline grew up in Keene, attended local schools and was a Keene High School Graduate. She received a bachelor's degree from the Philadelphia Bible College.

She was employed in the Human Resources Department at the National Grange Insurance Company in Keene for more than forty years.

She enjoyed quilting, knitting, reading, sewing, baking, doing crossword puzzles, helping the Salvation Army and mostly spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters; Beth Medvidofsky of Keene, NH, Lona Kern and her husband Paul of Englewood, Colorado; a son Charles Gearhart and his wife Heather of Land O' Lakes, FL; nephews; Billy and Brian and her pride and joys, her nieces Joy Hannah Kretschmar, Jean McLendon and her husband Matt. and her grandson Paul Medvidofsky, she is also survived by 19 great nieces and nephews 16 Great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother, Gerald Kretschmar and his wife Carolina of Swanzey, NH.

Her parents, Oscar and Hattie Kretschmar, her brother Leon; nephews Michael, Adam, and Joey, and niece Marissa all died earlier.

Services will be held at the Keene Salvation Army, 15 Roxbury Plaza, Keene on Friday, October 14th at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. All are invited.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that contributions be made in her name to the Five P Minus Society Cri-Du Chat Syndrome, PO Box 268, Lakewood, California 90714-0268. Pauline made special quilts for the society to help raise money for them
