Lucille K. "Patty" Hill 80, of Kings Highway, Stoddard, NH, passed away at home in Stoddard on Monday, May 8, 2017.

Patty was born in Gardner, MA on March 17, 1937, the daughter of Samuel L. and Jean (Loggie) Bray. Lucille grew up in Ware, MA where she attended local schools.

She earned her Registered Nursing degree from Franklin County Hospital in Greenfield, MA. She married Kenneth C. Hill, Sr. July 17th, 1958. Kenneth was in the U.S. Navy and then worked for the Department of Defense, during his time with the Navy and Government they lived in several different countries with their children, Kenneth C. Hill, Jr, and David J. Hill. In-between overseas tours, Patty was the Director of Nursing at Pleasant Living Nursing Home in Arnold, MD.

While Patty loved traveling to the various countries, she also loved being home with her family. Patty and Ken eventually settled in Stoddard, NH where Patty was able to pursue her many interests. She loved to read and could always be found sitting in her favorite spot with a cup of coffee and a good book. She practiced the art of dowsing and had many successes in finding lost items. She also loved her crystals. She used crystals for healing and made many elixirs for friends and family which helped heal ailments. Patty carried rose quartz hearts in her pocket to give to people she met on the street, in grocery stores, gas stations and other places she would go. She even stopped at the local State Trooper Barracks to give the officers there, rose quartz hearts to carry in their pockets. She, along with Ken enjoyed genealogy. Through this interest they were able to trace her family line back to William the Conqueror and his family back to the 1500s. Patty always felt the Scottish blood flowing through her veins and loved the time spent in Scotland when the family was stationed there. She loved being surrounded by her trees, loved watching the wildlife move through the yard and loved the birds singing. Patty made countless friends and touched more lives than she was aware of. She was always performing random acts of kindness. She was an extremely caring and giving person.

Patty will be greatly missed by her two sons, Kenneth C. Hill, Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Charlestown, NH, David J. Hill and his wife Stephanie of Yulee, FL; two grandchildren, Logan Hill and Kassidy Hill. She also leaves behind several siblings: her sister, Sheila Walker and her husband, Robert, of Petersham, MA; twin sisters, Jean Tamm of West Brookfield, MA and Judy Prescott and her husband, Clark, of Ashburnham, MA; brother, Lindsey Bray and his wife, Pamela, of Templeton, MA; a sister-in-law, Marsha Bray of Barre, MA.
