Larry W. Forbus, 78, a resident of Keene, NH, passed away peacefully at the Westwood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Keene, NH on Monday, September 11, 2017 following a period of declining health, with his family at his side.

He was born October 19, 1938 in Westfield, MA the son of Morrill and Marguerite (Cowan) Forbus. He was a 1956 graduate of Orange High School and went on to earn an Associate's degree from Fitchburg State College MA in 1962. On January 23, 1960 he married the love of his life: Jean Bacigalupo.

He was born October 19, 1938 in Westfield, MA the son of Morrill and Marguerite (Cowan) Forbus. He was a 1956 graduate of Orange High School and went on to earn an Associate's degree from Fitchburg State College MA in 1962. On January 23, 1960 he married the love of his life: Jean Bacigalupo.

He worked as a Senior Product Development Engineer for Kingsbury Corporation in Keene for 35 years.

He was a very gifted linguist, speaking five languages, including, English, Russian, German, Hebrew and Spanish. He loved to explore different cultures, faiths and ways of life. He was an avid reader. He studied the Bible and enjoyed reading Historical Novels which were non-fiction.

He did enjoy camping and hiking. Photography was a lifelong hobby He enjoyed doing special things with family. He had a very special place in his heart for animals, especially his cat, Barney and his dog, Felize.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean of Keene, two daughters: Christine Younie and her husband Glenn of Harrisville and Karen Younie and her husband Jeff of Marlow, son, Mark Forbus and wife Rachel of Vineyard Haven, Martha's Vineyard, MA; six grandchildren; Dan Rawson of SC, Melissa Fleck and Heather Emily both of Peterborough, Rachel Blanchard of Windham ME, Craig Forbus of Naples FL and Douglas Younie of Harrisville and 16 great-grandchildren.

As was Larry's wish, there will be no public services.
