Anne F. Blouin, 85, a life-long resident of the Monadnock Region, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Maplewood Nursing Home on Sunday, October 9, 2016, following a period of declining health.

She was born March 2, 1931 in Marlborough, MA the daughter of Robert and Anne (Leary) Mitchell. She was a 1949 graduate of St. Michaels School in Brattleboro, Vermont. On September 24, 1955 she married the love of her life: Napoleon Blouin.

Anne F. Blouin, 85, a life-long resident of the Monadnock Region, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Maplewood Nursing Home on Sunday, October 9, 2016, following a period of declining health.

She was born March 2, 1931 in Marlborough, MA the daughter of Robert and Anne (Leary) Mitchell. She was a 1949 graduate of St. Michaels School in Brattleboro, Vermont. On September 24, 1955 she married the love of her life: Napoleon Blouin.

For eighteen years she worked for the Keene Clinic on the switchboard. She enjoyed her interaction with people in the community throughout the years that she worked there.

The mother of five children, her time was spent making a wonderful, warm and loving home for her family, where her kitchen was the center of it all. She always offered homemade goodies to guests and was always ready to make one of her delectable desserts for a family gathering: bread pudding, brownies and cakes were some of her family's favorites. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Nanny". She enjoyed going for car rides through the beautiful country-side and visiting the seacoast. In her free time she also enjoyed doing crafts, especially sewing.

She is survived by two sons: Stephen Blouin and his wife Robin of Chocowinity, North Carolina and William "Bill" Blouin and his wife Donna of Keene, NH, three daughters: Anne Abbot and her husband Jim of Milford, NH, Lisa Cormier and her husband Bob of Scarborough, Maine and Ellen Beauregard and her husband Scott of Arundel, Maine, eleven grandchildren: Stephen Blouin and his wife Erica, Elizabeth Barry and her husband Christopher, Dennis Abbot and his wife Samantha, Kristen Cormier, Timothy Abbot, Nicole Blouin and her husband Billy Taylor, Sarah Wright and her husband Jordan, Lauren Beauregard, Danielle Cwynar and her husband Daniel, Amanda Edson and Ryan Beauregard, eleven great-grandchildren: Aidan, Cali, Isaiah, Matilda, Wyatt, Miles, Annabel, Aiden, Clara, Timothy and Caitlin, her brother: Arthur Mitchell and his wife Susie of West Chesterfield, NH, her sister: Florence Lang of New Jersey and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law: Patricia "Patty" Blouin. She is predeceased by her husband: Napoleon Blouin, her grandson: Kevin Blouin, her brother: Robert Mitchell and her sister: Mary P. Lilly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2016 at St. Margaret Mary Church, Arch Street, Keene, NH at 10am. Burial will follow in the Friedsam Cemetery, Route 63, Chesterfield, NH. Family and friends are invited to call on the family on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 5 to 7pm at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH.
